Sunflower oil has a neutral flavor profile that allows our spices, herbs, and veggies to shine through. We use it, along with aquafaba, to create an emulsion that acts as the base of our dips. It is also used in our falafel to help them maintain moisture and hold together.

We pride ourselves on using the best ingredients, and this is especially the case with our sunflower oil. It's organic, cold-pressed, and high-oleic.

This means it is expeller pressed, not solvent pressed. Expeller pressed uses a physical crushing method at a very slow speed (which is also called cold pressed). This maintains the integrity of the oil. Conventional sunflower oil is typically solvent pressed which does use a low level of hexane. Our sunflower oil is 100% sunflower oil with absolutely no additives.

As far as the benefits, high oleic sunflower oil is high in monounsaturated fat. It has a significant amount of monounsaturated omega-9 fatty acids, which is what “high-oleic” signifies. Monounsaturated fat (oleic acid) is one of the two “healthy” fats, along with polyunsaturated fat (linoleic acid). Monounsaturated fat, in particular, can help lower LDL (bad) cholesterol.

High-oleic sunflower oil is typically comprised of 75 – 82 percent monounsaturated fat and around nine percent linoleic acid, a polyunsaturated fat. High-oleic organic sunflower oil is significantly less inflammatory than conventional sunflower oil. The FDA has approved the claim that high oleic oils reduce the risk of coronary heart disease when replacing saturated fats.

Yes, proudly perishable! The dips should be kept refrigerated at all times (before opening and after). Falafel should be kept frozen. It is safe to re-freeze the falafel (assuming they were kept in cool temperatures beforehand).

The falafel, kept frozen, have a one-year shelf life. The dips have a shelf life of about 3 months. See the best by date on the packaging. The tzatziki, once opened, should be consumed within 10 days.

We highly recommend an oven, toaster oven, or air fryer to get the best experience!

• Oven: Pre-heat to 425 degrees. Bake for 15-20 minutes until desired crisp.
• Air Fryer: Set to 350 degrees. Air fry for 8-12 minutes until desired crisp.
• Pan Fried: Medium heat with a non-stick pan, for 3-5 minutes on each side.
• Microwave: 90 seconds on high heat.
